CRM integrations for claims contractors: what connects, and which way the data moves

CRM For Claims connects to three things outside itself: the contact form on your website, CompanyCam and Google Calendar. This page says what crosses each connection, who sets it up, and which tools you will still run next to it.

Three connections, and which way each one moves data

A logo on a vendor page does not tell you whether information comes in, goes out or does both. These do.

Your website form into the CRM A visitor’s name, phone, email, address and message become a contact and a project.
CompanyCam out of the CRM The project number, name and address create a CompanyCam project. A later change of name or address follows it.
Google Calendar both ways Appointments booked on a claim are written to your calendars. Events made in Google are read back.

What one website form submission becomes

Under Settings, Website Leads, an administrator copies one line of script and pastes it into the site. In WordPress that is a Custom HTML block. The line draws a form on the page.

The visitor types

  • First name, last name
  • Email and phone
  • Address, typed in one box
  • How can we help?
  • Any extra field your own form has

The CRM creates

  • A contact, with a name typed in capitals or lower case put into normal case
  • A project with the next PO number, in the stage you chose
  • A note with the address word for word, because one box of text is never split by guesswork
  • A note with the message, marked as left on the website form
  • A note listing each extra field by its name

Already have a form you like? Keep it and post it to the same address. Field names are matched loosely, so name, e-mail, tel and comments land in the right place, and a form that sends only an email address still creates a lead. A phone box filled with something that is not a number is left empty on the contact, and what the person typed is kept in a note.

You tick who receives the leads. One person gets all of them, several get them in turn, and “Nobody” creates the project with no Primary Representative for someone to assign later. The project enters its stage the way it would if a person moved it there, so whatever you set that stage to do runs. Those settings are described under automations and tasks.

15submissions a minute from one key
150submissions an hour
500new leads a day, a number you can change
5 minin which the same email or phone from the same site is not created twice

Those are the starting limits. A hidden field catches bots that fill every box, names with links in them are dropped, and you can add Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA with your own keys. You can also list the domains allowed to send, and replace the key, which stops the old one at once.

CompanyCam: the project is created for you, under whose account?

Each user connects their own CompanyCam account under Settings, Company Cam. When a project is created in the CRM, by hand or from the website form, a CompanyCam project is created with the name “#PO number - Project name” and the loss address, and its link is saved on the CRM project. Change the name or the address in the CRM and the CompanyCam project is updated.

  • If you have connected your own account, your projects are created through it.
  • If you have not, and a teammate has switched on sharing for the whole company, theirs is used. Only one person can be that company-wide account at a time.
  • A teammate can also share with picked people only. With no account and no share, the CRM project is created and nothing is sent to CompanyCam.

The connection runs one way. Photos stay in CompanyCam and are opened through the link; they are not copied into the claim’s folders. A project that already has a CompanyCam link is left alone. Files you do want on the claim go into its folders, covered under claim document management.

Google Calendar is read and written, and it is the only calendar

You connect your company’s Google calendars once and choose which belong in the CRM. An inspection booked from a claim is a Google event with the loss address as its location, and an event somebody adds in Google on a phone shows up on the claim’s side. The fields on an appointment, the guests added from the project and the per-calendar permissions are on the scheduling and calendar page.

What it does not connect to, and what offices do in its place

Tool Today How the work is done
QuickBooks and other accounting No sync Invoices, payments and expenses are kept on the claim. Your bookkeeper enters totals in the accounting system.
Xactimate and Symbility No import The estimate is uploaded to the claim as a file, and its figures are typed into the estimate fields.
Zapier or an app marketplace None The website lead address accepts a plain form post or JSON, so a developer can send leads from another source.
Carrier and mortgage servicer systems No link A person records what the carrier or the lender said, on the claim.
Outlook or Apple calendars Not supported Scheduling needs Google Calendar.

One field is easy to mistake for a connection. An insurance company’s record has an optional question, “What estimating software is used by this Insurance Company?”, with two answers: Xactimate - Verisk and Symbility - Core Logic. It tells your estimator which format that carrier expects. It does not send or fetch an estimate. Where the estimate figures are entered is covered under estimates and invoicing.

If your office depends on a long list of connected apps, a general-purpose CRM has more of them, and the comparison with Salesforce and HubSpot says when that matters more than claim-specific screens.
